Patrick became a triple amputee aged 9 months after contracting meningococcal septicaemia in 1998. In 2010, Patrick became the then-youngest person in the world to be fitted bionic arm - the I-Limb Pulse, made by Össur. Patrick’s story and his book, Human 2.0, is truly remarkable, and his ability to inspire audiences is evident from the feedback we’ve received from recent events.
QUOTES...
"[A teacher at Vickerstown] had never seen one of their year 5 boys so inspired (a pupil in a wheelchair who went to see Patrick Kane)"
"We were asking the children what they enjoyed the most. They found Patrick's session "exciting" and "fascinating" and it raised lots of questions about people with disability. They were astounded to discover that disability did not hold people back. The owning of this book was especially powerful. One boy, who is writing at 2 years below his age, created his own book about Human 2.0 at home!"
