About Gyles Brandreth
Gyles Brandreth is a writer, broadcaster, former MP, Government Whip, and Chancellor of the University of Chester. A ubiquitous presence on UK screens and airwaves, he is a regular on ITV’s This Morning and BBC Radio 4’s Just A Minute, with TV credits including QI, Have I Got News For You, Would I Lie to You?, Pointless, and Celebrity Gogglebox.
His theatrical work spans West End roles as Malvolio and Lady Bracknell, while his literary output covers seven Victorian Oscar Wilde murder mysteries, two acclaimed volumes of diaries, his autobiography Odd Boy Out, and two bestselling royal biographies. Gyles also co-hosts the hit podcast Something Rhymes With Purple alongside Susie Dent, and Rosebud, where he chats to famous guests about their earliest memories.
