About the Book: Ninety-Six Hours

On 18 June 2023, Christine Dawood watched her husband Shahzada and 19-year-old son Suleman embark on a journey aboard the OceanGate Titan submersible to view the wreck of the Titanic. Shortly after descent, all communication was lost, launching a desperate 96-hour search and rescue operation that captured the world's attention.

In Ninety-Six Hours, Christine tells her story from aboard the support vessel—from the initial terrifying silence to the final confirmation of a catastrophic implosion. Alternating between the real-time countdown of the search and cherished memories spanning two decades, her memoir is both a heart-wrenching account of crisis and a tender celebration of family.

Christine Dawood is an organizational psychologist, family business leader, and philanthropist. Following the catastrophic loss of her husband and son in the Titan submersible tragedy, she has dedicated herself to a path of resilience, advocacy, and meaning-making. Ninety-Six Hours is her first memoir—a deeply honest love story spanning cultures, tragedy, and the enduring strength of the human spirit.
