The Book
It starts with a murdered agent in the Saudi desert. Only a traitor could have known enough to bring him down—but even James Bond cannot guess the secret worth killing to protect. As Bond follows a lethal trail across the globe, a deadly countdown begins. Hiding in the shadows is a villain unlike any before: a man with more power than 007 could ever imagine.
King Zero is Charlie Higson’s ultimate vision of a contemporary Bond. Grounded in a deep respect for Ian Fleming's original novels, this cinematic thriller captures everything fans love—from terrifying conspiracies and high-tech gadgets to a relentless, globe-trotting pace. At its heart lies a chilling exploration of modern power: who holds it, what it looks like in an era of AI and self-driving cars, and what happens when global stability is threatened at its core.
